“We are so lucky to have Tippins as a wonderful resource to our community. Their high-quality meats, pizza, wraps, sides, beer, liquor, etc., selection is so important to our lives. We are there several times a week and nearly all of the meat we cook is from the butcher at Tippins. It's WAY better than anything you will pick up at your typical stores. We usually enjoy the boneless Ribeye or NY Strip steaks along with great chicken and ground beef. About a month ago we tried the Tomahawk streaks and they were so good we went back last weekend and grabbed a few more. I put a simple rub on them and smoked them over oak, then reverse seared them to finish on the grill. Oh, my! They were SO good! The marbling was an explosion of buttery deliciousness! And of course their excellent Texas Potato Salad we had as a side. Ah, Tippins luxury! Here are a few snaps of the steaks.”

“I rented a room here in 2016 and rented a top-floor 2bed 1bath between 2019-2020. The cost-to-location ratio is this place's biggest selling point. Far enough away from A2 and Ypsi proper to keep from being slummy, but close enough that a tiny drive can have you at all the best spots around. Biggest problems are noise (zero privacy - you hear everything about your neighbors) and my unit's dated fixtures. I think my unit is one of the last that hasn't been remodeled, and this review would be five stars if I was in one of those. Pros + Can't beat the location - everything you could want (even a nice stretch of nature to the north) is within walking distance. + The current property manager, Laura, is just as friendly and helpful as her predecessor, Sunny. + Rent is too high everywhere in Ann Arbor, but this place is competitive and turnover seems low. + Maintenance people are excellent. I'd a heater leak and they came extremely fast to flush and patch my system. + Utilities: They cover heat. My water and electricity are about $20 - $30 each, though I'll admit that I'm very frugal with use. Either Or > On-site washer and dryer, but they're coin operated and only just received a digital pay app. > Free-for-all parking - never had problems finding a spot but unless you pay extra for a covered place your car will hop around. > Neighborhood: respectful and distant neighbors. Most seems to be low-to-mid tier professionals, transitory families, or UM grad students. You'll get nods and hellos but most everyone keeps to themselves. Cons - The driveways are either "giant potholes everywhere" and "uneven asphalt everywhere." - I can hear literally everything in the apartments around me, even calm conversations. - The fixtures in my apartment are dated and/or strange: large and drafty windows, some outlets in my kitchen don't work, I've two identical overhead dome lights in my kitchen...but nothing for the living room, clapboard cupboards, rusty baseboard heaters, rickety blinds (had one fall off), and for some reason none of my front closets have catches or bolts so they are always slightly open. - Summers are brutal. My top-floor apartment reached 93 degrees, and the wall AC could only get me down to 80s for the front rooms and not the bedroom. Had to buy window tint, box fans, and seals to live.”

“I cannot say anything but good things about Arbor Hospice. They went above and beyond to give my mom the best treatment at her end stages of life. Not only did they provide top of the line support via equipment and training, the staff were extremely kind and helpful to us supporting family members. The multitude of services and wonderful staff that worked with us was amazing. The one specific thing that I can say was exceptional was the 24/7 phone and video support that really was 24/7. Arbor Hospice even helped us with grief counseling after my mom had passed.”

I've gotten pretty much every color under the rainbow put in my hair, and every time, it's turned out incredibly vivid and somehow feels healthier than before I came in. I can only guess she has some some sort of magic powers but I may never know. If you need color and a great fade, she's your girl. I wouldn't trust anyone else to get the lasting and powerful color that she does for me.”

“Everyone is so nice to me at the bank! They say that it's important to manage your money for retirement and have some extra for emergencies, but what they don't tell you is the amazing friends you'll make when you go banking! Don't tell anyone, but sometimes, I even visit this bank to do things I could much more easily do online. And the nice thing is I'm sure they know I could do those things online but they don't tell me I could do it online instead. They are just welcoming and happy that I stopped by to see my friends at the bank. God, I f*cking LOVE banking. It's just, they are just so friendly and helpful, it's hard to pass up an opportunity to visit my new good friends at the bank.”

Oh my, I can tell you that the cupcakes I just had are the best I’ve had since came to US 11 years ago. We’ve had countless cupcakes from indie shops, Whole Foods, Wegman’s, you name it. No other cupcakes ever came close to how wonderful and balanced the cupcakes from Zingerman’s tasted. They just felt right and not artificial at all. If you are like me who finds things in the US are either too sweet or salty, Zingerman’s should be the right place for you.”
