(January 6, 2022, 5:21 pm)I was referred to this clinic by my primary physician for chronic neuropathic pain in my lower back and legs. I have been taking steroid dose packs for over two years in order to push through the pain. The problem with that approach is the weight gain from taking steroids, the insomnia I experience, and the short amount of lasting pain relief I have after I stop taking them.
I spoke with Dr. Rosenberg during my 1st appointment and I was surprised at the amount of time he took talking to me about different options. He listened as I described the qualities of the pain that I experience and seemed genuinely empathetic. He listened as I explained how pain has interfered with being able to sleep, finish home projects, or being able to walk in the store with my kids.
I got the first of possibly 3 epidural injections today. The medical assistants who were responsible for marking the injection site(s), taking vitals, making sure I was "me" were really caring people. I was expecting this to be much more uncomfortable than it actually was. Dr. Rosenberg explained everything as he was doing it and that (along with some positive talk from one of the medical assistants) helped me get through it with ease.
There is no magical incantation that a doctor can recite that will cure someone on demand. What is magical is when you find a doctor that listens, gives you their expert opinion, involves you in the treatment plan, and cares about how you feel. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who is in need of quality care.
