Villa Bakery

Nice neighborhood deli/ bakery with a family owned and run feel to it. The pizza bread is pretty good, but could use a bit more sauce... even the deluxe one could use more sauce.

On another note, I love that they care about the community, as evidenced by the Christmas toy drive that they were doing on site. That's the kind of thing that endears you to the neighborhood you serve.

Soooo much good stuff here, but I am old school and my favorite remains the pizza bread. No one makes it like Villa. I live in NC now but when I visit MI, Villa literally is the first place I go after the airport. And lately, they’ve had so many new ideas and meals and desserts… I can’t wait until my next visit! You cannot go wrong when you go to Villa!

The best pizza rolls in all of Garden City, bar none!

The rolls are fat, doughy and have plenty of sauce, pepperoni and cheese inside. They also have other varieties, but I have honestly never tried any of those.

All of my friends from outside the USA who come for a visit always ask how late Villa Bakery is open. The memory of the pizza rolls stays with them.

Villa has all of the usual bakery cookies and snacks, but make sure you try the Angel Wings. They appear thicker than you are probably used to, but they are a very light and flaky.

All the "regular" Italian and Rye breads are much better than Panera or someplace like that.

My husband and I have been going here for a few years now and we love the atmosphere, the hard-working employees, the pizza bread and Cannoli (we really miss the peanut butter chips!!) I love how they have expanded their flavors of their pizza bread as well. Now I don’t know if I like the asiago one more, or the garlic parm! They are both so delicious. 😍

Updated because we recently bought their strawberry and raspberry cheesecake paçzki… absolutely recommend them if they’re still selling them. Their cannoli ones are also phenomenal, but that should be a given since their cannolis are by far the best!!
