I came to Livonia Family Smiles when my dentist was unavailable for emergency care. Treatment involved multiple extractions, with implants the option of choice to restore oral function.

Overseeing the entire process, Dr. Aziza Askari demonstrated not only a knack for putting me at ease with amiable, rangy banter, but uncommon dedication to getting it right - i.e., establishing a structurally sound and healthy starting point from which to build on. Indeed, when she attempted to place new crowns but found them millimeters off, back they went to the lab. She is a perfectionist who knows from experience what will endure and what will not.

Dr. Hana Gadalla, the periodontist whose job it is to establish the implants to which the crowns are attached, is another gem. She too, is not above a laugh or small talk, all the while setting her appliances with precision. She is also a person of empathy, as obviated during the numbing process when she frequently apologizes for needle jabs. When she works, she is confident and competent, laboring nonstop until everything is correctly placed.

To me, what both doctors offer is nothing less than artistry; taking a veritably empty mouth and putting teeth back into it in a way that looks and feels like the real thing. During the period between extractions and crowns my food choices were limited. I especially missed salads. Now, halfway to a full set of teeth, even chewing on one side I have rediscovered the joy of crunchy vegetables. And truthfully, the sensation of eating with composite biting surfaces - well, it’s like I have my old teeth back.

Livonia Family Smiles is of course imore than just two doctors - it is a team of credentialed, caring professionals who are happy doing what they do and show it. I am glad I found them.

OK so nobody likes the dentist but, let me tell you about this amazing place I stumbled upon!! I was in such pain calling any and every dentist I could for an emergency appointment and Livonia Family Smiles took me in same day and even let me pick what time I wanted to come in.The staff is incredible every single one of them from the front desk down to the Doctors very kind and compassionate people. I will be returning for any and all furniture treatments .
