“Very hardworking and caring. The principal Mrs. Haque, is very concerned and physically involved with the academic progress of the children as much as she is in the school itself. If any parent comes with any type of issue she is there to solve the problem not just listen through one ear and out the other she really does care and listen I also find this these attributes in many of the teachers although I have met all of them yet they seem to be very great teachers and they really want to do their job well they want these children to succeed and that's exactly what each DPS school means this is overall the best DPS school the best Michigan school I have seen.”

“this school was nice helped me accelerate. the one thing I remember was there was a fire started in the bathroom of the boys bathroom. and one time one the kids got into a fight with me and my nose bleed. one time the teacher had the light skinned students in the front and the darker kids at the back of the classroom and gave us a sample of what discrimination feels like if you were good you went to lazer tag. remember the eclipse and we had to wear special glasses”

“Outstanding school!!! I live in GP. The school was racially diverse, which was very important to me because we are a black family. He excelled once I placed him in GPs public school system. I know it was because of the foundation that Mrs. Maria gave him. I kept him there for his kindergarten year. It was worth EVERY penny!!! One of the best decisions I've made for my son :-)”

“This place is the only petting Zoo I can find around here! Cheryl, Tony and Ally are all amazingly friendly! They very kindly showed us the farm animals and you can buy 50 cents farm animal snacks and feed farm animals! The lavender harvest with $5 jar was very fun too! It’s a very laid back, local and very friendly environment!”

“We have been extremely happy with Bright Horizons. Our son has moved through the infant, transition, toddler, and now young preschool rooms, and we have found all of the teachers to be supportive, engaged, and caring. The admin is very responsive and helpful. The location/drop-off/pick-up is also very convenient - it's right off the Lodge and has a dedicated parking lot, which is hard to find in Detroit! Love the pics and descriptions they post on the app too.”

The environment is so welcoming and bright at Ellen Thompson. The staff actually tries to get to know the parents and students. It’s like a big family. My son was beyond excited to learn he was accepted back to Ellen Thompson for next year. We won’t be leaving anymore.”
