We did a self guided tour but there were docents in every room to answer questions and give a little history on the family and the decor. The details in the wood carvings,the high end materials used in construction, and the influence of the artisans that were commissioned to create the decor pieces left us in awe. The gardens are amazing. The Japanese garden was magical. Take the time to discover all the grounds but wear comfortable shoes as you will definitely get your steps in as you wander the trails. Absolutely will be going back soon!”
