Tyler and his crew came to inspect my chimney to figure out why it was leaking. Thankfully they were able to quickly locate the issue and used a temporary fix to get us by until spring when they can safely work on the roof. I highly recommend giving 2nd Generation Chimneys, Inc. a call for all of your chimney needs.

Communication for the appointment was easy and clear. The technicians showed up on time and were polite and friendly. They explained what they were doing and after they were done talked to me thoroughly about it. They answered all my questions about how to keep using and caring for the wood stove and chimney. They also cleaned up and my wood stove looked excellent. Overall and positive experience and I would recommend them to anyone else!

Tyler was polite and friendly, explained my options well, and completed the work quickly. He installed a chimney damper in under an hour and even disposed of the insulation I'd had stuffed into the chimney for me. Very helpful.

2nd Gen. has been a huge bright spot in an otherwise frustrating storm damage situation. They were on top of everything and made the process incredibly smooth and stress free. No issues at all. Great communication, timeliness, and professionalism. They followed through on everything they said they would do and did it in a swift, supportive, and honest manner. They will continue to be my first and only call for Chimney/Fireplace issues in the future.

We needed to replace the existing chimney on the house we just bought, and a big rainstorm had convinced us it couldn't wait. I contacted 2nd Gen and in less than a month, the estimate had been given and accepted and the work was completed just this past Tuesday.
Mathias and his crew were exceptional! They went beyond our expectations and the new chimney is beautiful! The craftsmanship is flawless. They were professional, yet easy enough to talk with, and explained the installation process in sufficient detail so I knew what to expect when they came. (I didn't expect the work to be done in a day-which it was!)
As for clean-up, there again, they exceeded our expectations. My husband was very impressed with the work that took place "downstairs" and remarked that the clean-up was "awesome!" Outside, I did notice some debris on the lawn where they had mixed the mortar and made a mental note to take care of it before our next mow. The crew came back on Wednesday to remove the wood form around the concrete cap. While I was chatting with Mathias, who was on the roof, I noticed another member of the crew down on the ground, gathering up all the small stones and debris I had noticed the day before. Excellent!!
We are so happy with our new chimney and would recommend 2nd Gen and Mathias and crew to anyone! Thank you so much, guys!!
