Hansen's Harbor

We love it here...peaceful, natural environment. It isn't really anything to do with the staff and owners, but there are no loud parties going on through the nights. Yet, all the boaters in the marina are friendly and helpful. Though the owners are friendly and knowledgeable and their prices are well below the norm for any service.

The only bad thing I have to say is that jerks who are not from the marina like to ignore the signs about not fishing and come in and fish in the marina. They will block the channel with their boats. One of these days I am going to end up pushing one onto the rocks. Though I have gotten a lot of nice lures and tackle that they hooked onto my boat ropes because they don't know how to cast.

Impeccable and clean grounds and great Marina. I slipped my boat here in 2019 it was nice and private and the owner was very accommodating helped step my mast and put in my boat at a fair price. Felt safe leaving my sailboat there being I live about an hour away. Would highly recommend 5 stars

The friendliest marina on the prettiest lake this side of Minnesota. Perfectly positioned on the lake for a low-traffic fast departure. Closer to the Twin Cities than Lake City, it shaves 10+ minutes on my commute to the boat in comparison. Hansen's slip rates are very reasonable and the marina staff is extremely knowledgeable and approachable. If you are looking for an affordable and hassle free yet friendly and reliable marina, I recommend you call Hansen's up.

The staff helped repair a through hull transducer seal leak on launch day this year, dropping everything to come assist. Much thanks!

This is my second year renting a slip for my sailboat from Hansen's, and I plan to continue doing so. More sailing, no fuss.

Edit: After reading some of the negative reviews, I figured I would comment. These negative reviews are not from those of us that rent slips. The marina is private property, wonderfully maintained and beautiful, and the staff are super friendly.

Ive read unpalatable reviews from some, but experienced the opposite. I think its possible that some think everything has to be "ivory tower" standard. what i found is that, for its location, services, and set up, it is an extremely nice place. I had some engine issues and the owner gladly allowed me to borrow or spark plug socket. i enjoyed the simplicity of its environment and the morning sunrise was amazing. I enjoyed the direct nature of the owners talking style, getting right down to the point of any questions i had, simply.

The Hansen men worked on our houseboat. Professional, dependable & most of all trustworthy.
Their harbor is beautiful and maintained to the highest standards.
