“My wife and I met with Dr. Yamamura for a medical consultation and had the best experience ever meeting with a physician to date. It was that amazing, it’s a shame it wasn’t recorded so the medical world could see how treating people should be like in healthcare. As a leadership consultant and coach, I work for a living with many professions with some including physicians. Often because they lack the relationship or people side of leadership. They may be medically sound which is apparent and needed for obvious reasons but I have witnessed personally and professionally situations in medical leadership where they fail miserably. Where I or my wife feel like a number, mistreated, disrespected, challenged, belittled, and the list goes on. I’m not over generalizing this but there are many in the field that don’t have the character and heart to care for their patients as human beings in the medical field. On the very contrary, Dr. Yamamura helped me regain hope in healthcare that there are doctors out there that are truly amazing both medically and as a person. I was in awe witnessing her behavior in how she listened so thoughtfully, and her empathy and compassion was on a whole another level. Most times you feel rushed in a doctor’s appointment. With Dr. Yamamura you felt calm and at peace and could ask questions without feeling bad and so forth . She cared for my wife in a way that I’ve never seen before by a doctor. She was beyond authentic, genuine, real, and loving. I honestly thought to myself, wow!! Every person that is going through some medical challenge needs be cared for by a physician like Dr. Yamamura. She should be the textbook definition, the benchmark, where the bar is set when taking care and managing the health of people. She needs to be highly recognized for her extraordinary medical leadership!! I highly recommend her for anybody needing to see a maternal fetal medicine specialist. I will go a step further and say if you aren’t happy with your doctor no matter the field of medicine that you have them talk with Dr. Yamamura to get trained, well, at best to get some advice on how to wear their doctor and human hat when working with patients. Seriously, I was so moved by her abilities and how she practices medicine! Wish she could be our doctor for everything!”
