Lake of the Isles Park

Another gem located in the heart of the city, Lake of the Isles Park is a pet-friendly waterside recreational area that connects the channels of Lake of the Isles with Cedar Lake and Bde Maka Ska, where watercraft rental are available.
While the Kenilworth Lagoon and Cedar Lake Channel are currently closed to recreational use, they will reopen in spring 2023. This closure is necessary to remove and reconstruct historic retaining walls in the channel that were originally built under the Works Progress Administration.

While still busy, it is definitely the quietest and least busy of the three lakes. It's narrow and long, making for a different walling experience. The vibes is a bit calmer and there are areas to rent paddle boards, kayaks, etc. I love the chairs that they have set up around the paths.

I love the lake! It's fun to see so many people out enjoying themselves in their own way! I went SUPing w my fince! Enjoyed a lunch on the water (bring your cooler w refreshments and lunch)! Wear your polarized Eyewear and watch the fishes!

Minneapolis is the most beautiful city in the world. I took these photos when there was still some ice on the lakes. I will say that it is during summer and fall when it's the most beautiful. These photos show before the true beauty. When everything is green and súper awesome.
