I came to Dr. Feldman, a while after searching google for affordable doctors dealing in hormone therapy. Despite reviews about Dr. Feldman's bedside manner, I took the risk, having few other options. However, to my surprise, I found my experience to be quite different.
During my first visit, we reviewed my medical and emotional history, in detail - discussi g where I was currently at, with my transition, and where I wanted to be. I made my goals clear, and was then given a realistic description of what I can expect hormone therapy to accomplish, for me. We also reviewed potential side effects of the drugs I was prescribed, and verified my understanding of such. I then informed Dr. Feldman of my weight goals - the response to such being support and encouragement. Noting my progress, my dosages were elevated, and I was referred to Mill City Labs, for blood serum levels.
On my next visit, we again discussed my progress, as well as the results of my labs, and my experiences transitioning. Discovering my blood serum levels were nearing the desired marks, my dosages were again raised, and I was once again referred to Mill City Labs.
After receiving my lab results, the second time, I contacted Dr. Feldman, and was informed of the implications, my medications were adjusted and I was referred to Mill City, once again.
The duration of my contact with Dr. Feldman was observed by two medical students in training, for educational purposes, with my full consent. During times at which my body was exposed, for examination, a curtain was drawn for privacy. Both students and Dr. Feldman treated me with great respect and dignity, in a professional manner.
In summation, I witnessed absolutely no problematic behavior. I only recieved kindness and respect. I valued the care, with which information was made clear to me, and with which my care was provided.
I've written such a lengthy review, partly to highlight the extreme level of quality I experienced, but also to highlight that even if others have a nasty opinion of someone, due to their personal preferences, others might not. You may have read the other reviews and expected a rude and heartless individual, but I'm hoping you'll read mine, and reconsider. Dr. Feldman has a great professional quality and personality, and it just bothers me so deeply to see reviews which cast shade on such a caring person.
And, by the way, seeing your transitional care provider every three months is extremely important, if you take your transition seriously. Correcting something you're deeply traumatized by should never take the back burner, just because you feel it's too much of a burden to make it to an appointment, 4 times per 365 days. You get out of it what you put into it.
