  I truly enjoyed eating here. I was the first person there. The chips and salsa were good and made me break my rule about eating them all. I had enchiladas. The portions were generous and the quality was great. Check this place out. Oh, and if you're an early eater they open at 10AM.

  Good food. Nice atmosphere. Only complaint is that it was really dark. Had to use our cellphone flashlight to read the menu. The Horchata was awesome. Wished there had been Al Pastor tacos.

  Amazing and quality family owned food for a very affordable price. We have loved coming here for over 20 years. (Ask for the frozen to-go tamales!)

  Oh my god! They have VEGAN TAMALES!!
  I was so happy to find so many easily made vegan options ot El Norteno. You can easily make nearly every vegetarian option vegan without cheese and sour cream. Theres fajitas, burritos, tacos, tamales, rice, beans. There may even be a vegan enchilada option, but I did not check.
  The waitress and kitchen staff was very friendly and the food was very affordable. I only wish the dining room had a bit better lighting and some music. That really would have added to the atmosphere. Also, it was strange to not have any hot sauce available at the table.
  Aside from that, this place was really delicious and I will absolutely be returning!

  Lovely service and delicious food. This is not a fast in&out Mexican restaurant. El Norteno is a place to dine, relax and enjoy great food at a leisurely pace.
