  I have never been there but just saw the owner on the news. Your appreciation of your customers coming by to order takeout was so touching, and your candid emotion made me tear up too! I'm going to come by and pick something up soon - I wish you all the best and hope you are able to make it through this difficult time. We need to support and keep great neighborhood businesses open!

  Staff really makes a place and this place is made very well. Great bartenders, servers and regulars. Can't think of a better place to grab a beer or sip some whiskey while listening to live music on a Tuesday or Sunday night.

  Whitey’s is my favorite neighborhood bar. The food and service are both spot on. They recently made a few cosmetic changes but it’s still the same old bar I know and love, except now they have awesome cartoons on the TVs. And if you make it to closing time, you may or may not have a good time singing some fun songs with the whole bar before you say goodbye.

  A nice Northeast Minneapolis down to earth sort of bar. You will not be disappointed!

  Great spot for brunch! The prices are good and the food is delicious. I had the steak and eggs breakfast that came with a huge amount of hash browns, couple triangles of buttered toast, some strawberries, eggs, and one of the best seasoned steaks I've had for breakfast. Think of it like like a Denny's breakfast but made with better ingredients and prepared just a little bit better. Only complaint was the drink glasses were a bit small, but the waitress was very quick with refills.
