I have an older Lexus (2005 LS430) that the engine stopped while at a stop light. I got it towed to a nearby gas station for an initial diagnostic of a failed timing belt. What I didn’t know is that this year of Lexus has an interference engine which means if the timing belt goes -it causes a bunch of damage.
I considered scrapping the car, but overall it was in excellent shape.
A nephew of mine has had auto work done at Paulie’s and suggested that I have Paul give me a second opinion and price out what it would cost to get it running again.
Paul found the cause of the timing belt break and gave me a reasonable quote for the engine repair.
I picked up the Lexus yesterday and it is running like a top. The cost for repair and the service were both excellent and as I expected.
The best part of getting my car repaired at Paulie’s Automotive, is that I felt comfortable that I was getting an honest appraisal starting from the engine diagnostic, repair and the total cost.
