“Our daughter attended Eden Prairie Montessori North in both the infant room and toddler room. Eden Prairie Montessori North was a wonderful place for her to spend her days. Many of her teachers have decades of experience in early childhood care and have been at the center for many years. Our daughter bonded with her teachers and it was such a joy to see her respond to them so positively. They have created an environment that is warm and caring and we knew it was the right place for our baby almost immediately upon visiting. We were very satisfied with the quality of care our daughter received. We always received frequent updates throughout the day through their Brightwheel app that made us feel connected to our daughter. In the toddler room, our daughter learned songs, got to play outside as much as the weather allowed, and played with puzzles and other toys that helped her develop fine motor skills. Her teachers also worked with her to help her start learning colors, shapes, and numbers from a very early age. I loved the Montessori approach that emphasizes allowing children to do everything they can for themselves and my daughter learned how to drink from a real cup, sit on a real chair, and pick up her own toys. I cannot recommend Eden Prairie Montessori North highly enough and will always be thankful to Ms. Rani, Ms. Deb, Ms. Anne, and all the other teachers who cared for my daughter with so much love and kindness.”

“Best Szechuan in Twin Cities! This place is truly a hidden gem, run by masters. The owner comes from a popular Szechuan place in Minneapolis and she struck out on her own to take over a failing takeout joint in a strip mall. And thank goodness! The menu is full of authentic Szechuan specialties. On this visit we tried: Bamboo shoots in chili oil (cold salad with scallions - fresh, crunchy and wonderful) Juicy buns (classic soup dumplings done right) Dan-dan noodles (perfectly prepared top to bottom) Boiled fish Szechuan style (the oily broth was rich and delicious, with tons of cabbage, sprouts and tofu to make a wonderfully balanced dish) Cumin lamb (velvety and deeply flavorful, contrasted with crunchy shredded lettuce). Eggplant stir-fried with garlic and pork (drop-dead delicious) I cannot wait to go back and dive deeper into the menu. Service was super sweet and friendly, food came out plenty fast and perfectly prepared, dish after incredible dish. They also have the classic Hunan dishes that the American palate is more familiar with, and I'm sure they do a great job with those items, but if you crave amazing Szechuan, this is it. If you are a fan of Teahouse, Szechuan Spice, Grand Szechuan, etc., this will be your new favorite. It's small with only a handful of tables but super clean and freshly painted, simple but pleasant decor - great for dining in or take out. FINDING IT: Remember that I called it a hidden gem? It actually is - the old "#1" sign still hangs on the facade of the strip mall above their storefront, only a small sign on the door says, "Hua Yang" - embrace the adventure and seek it out - if you know what good Szechuan food is, you'll be delighted!”

“Our mother moved to Adagio Manor in late January, three weeks after her husband of 28 years died, two weeks after she had been diagnosed with Covid 19 and put in isolation for 10 days, and one week after she suffered an initially undiagnosed fracture of a vertebra. With all those challenges, plus poor vision and hearing, she settled in. We were able to bring things for her room, including her bed, recliner, and end table, pictures, lamps, and area rug. She was so grateful for the familiar surroundings, so different from a nursing home room. The staff offered frequent cups of coffee, with half and half, her comfort beverage. Her appetite was poor, but they tried to find foods that appealed to her, at times that she was up to eating, again, nothing like the set schedule and menu offered at a care center. Mother required around-the-clock care, which none of us could provide in our homes, but we were able to visit every day, with fewer restrictions as we all became vaccinated. The nurse, Catalina, called and consulted with us any time there was a change in her condition. In her last months she suffered pain and loss, but the staff at Adagio helped us make those months the best we could.”
