At the age of 12 I fell on the ice. Because my parents didn't believe in chiropractors it became a serious scoliosis. As a young person I was athletic & only felt discomfort when I stood for long intervals or did work involving my back. Things like shoveling, raking leaves, or even sweeping. As I grew older & became less active the discomfort grew. I was uncomfortable or in pain a for a part of almost every day. Walking was fine, but house or yard work was challenging. Most of the time it was ignored. Finally, in 1986 I went to my first chiropractor. There was some relief, but never feeling completely pain free. Over the last 31 years I have been to 6 chiropractors. The results were always the same. There would be some relief, but never pain free in my daily living. It wasn't until going to Dr. Lavell that have I been without pain for weeks. It doesn't mean I don't need a tune-up, especially if I fall or I stress my back picking up something in an incorrect way. He is professional, intelligent, & it is nice to be around him because he is happy. He is interested in his patients. Their lives & who they are. It isn't just Dr. Lavell who is positive it is the whole staff. With the staff & the environment at Specific Family Chiropractic & wellness it is easy to understand why I feel so much better. Going to them & continuing to go to them is one of the best decisions I've made. At 73 I finally have my life back -better late than never.:)
