Doug is incredible and so are Nikki and Istar and Joe the painter and Joe the maintenance man and his sidekick, Troy. We are so lucky!
I was really happy living at Highland Ridge! Staff were super helpful and friendly. The building is well-built and maintained. Lots of space for the price you pay too. Only reason I left was I was moving out of state, for work but would have stayed for longer if I could.
After living in a home for 30 years, I was worried about moving to an apartment complex. I have been pleasantly surprised to find I never hear my neighbors, due to the excellent construction used in the '80's. I feel far safer than I did in my home, and I was happy to find a place where my cats were welcome.
While the apartment is a little dated (carpet, popcorn ceilings), it is a non-issue as they are constantly updating the building. Last summer my deck and railing were repaired and painted, this summer I will get all new windows.
The staff are very responsive and helpful, and there are a variety of activities to participate in. The management company hosts an event each month to get tenants together, from a bagel morning to a Mardi Gras party. The amenities; from weekly yoga classes, to a well maintained pool and hot tub, exercise rooms as well as a place to hold a private party, make me feel like I live in a resort.
I am so glad that i chose Highland Ridge for the next chapter of my life!
I’ve lived here a year and a half now and enjoyed it. The perks are great (hot tub and the gym were my faves pre-pandemic). I like that there’s a mix of different residents - young professionals, families, seniors. It’s pet friendly and they have dog bag stations/garbages in different areas around the building, and a nice path by the river for longer walks.
Management has been accommodating and willing to work with me on multiple occasions, from working with me when my dog developed a barking-during-the-day habit to letting me switch apartments.
I was a little nervous to live in such a large complex, but the apartment walls are nicely soundproofed and the management office is staffed regular business hours if you need anything.
