“This review is of the pool for swimming lessons. The instructors are kind, patient and knowledgeable. My son has taken three group courses and 1 semi-private course. We continue to take lessons here because they understand his abilities and challenge him at the level he is at. When we tried another place for lessons, a parent/child course, it was so poorly run, he quit 3 lessons in. The class was way too advanced for a beginner course. The water was freezing and the instructor was not engaging. It took him another two years to muster up the courage to try learning to swim again. The only reason I didn't give the pool 5 stars was because on busy nights seating is limited. You may have to stand. The pool does not have a diving board which could be beneficial when teaching diving into the water. But I appreciate that they keep the water so warm for the kids and that there are no drafts since there are no windows. We will continue to take lessons here until my son is a proficient swimmer. Our hope is that he can do all four major strokes and also swim the length of the pool. Just getting over his fear of the water was a huge victory and I have the New Brighton Parks and Recreation to thank for that!”

“Today was the first day my daughter went to Creative Kids Academy. All I have to say is WOW!!! The attention to detail in the care they provided to my daughter blew my mind. I was updated in real time of all the things my daughter did, the kind of food they gave her was fantastic, the amount of pictures of her that were uploaded was great. “I love world around us. It is very convenient for me and my children. I been bringing my children to world around us for almost 2 years now and i wouldn't change a thing. The place is always clean if you see a floor not clean better believe someone is getting around to it. There is a young lady who i always see mopping floors and cleaning windows. Dawn is a doll she is so loving and understanding and she also love all the kids that attend the daycare. She is the best at what she does. I would highly recommend this center for anyone who is looking to put their child into daycare. The kids learn so much and there is a very diverse group of kids who attend. I love it!!!”

“The Mounds View Community Center is another great facility to hold your events like weddings (including receptions), graduation parties, anniversaries birthday parties and all kinds of celebrations. The hall is huge if they remove the partitions. You can rent only a small part as well. The location is easy to find just off County Rd 10 (Mounds View Blvd) and there are a lot of parking spaces including overflow at Walgreens and city Hall just across the street especially on weekends abs evenings. A lot of Africans use this facility. The first time I used it was 13 years ago to host the 10th birthday party for my daughter. She’s grown now and in medical school but she still has fun memories from that event. Check it out.”

“My daughters (1999 & 2004) received quality educations in White Bear Lake schools and had nothing but positive experiences with staff & students. From Kindergarten to graduation, both of them woke in the morning eager to go to school and came home filled with stories of what they learned that day. The teachers truly cared about my kids and the girls are still in touch with some telling me that they go far beyond their job descriptions in their interactions with their students. My husband and I truly believe that WBL schools instilled a zest for education that carried them through college, graduate and law school. We sincerely extend our thanks to the many teachers and staff who were responsible for the atmosphere in our schools that allows kids to be happy and interested during the most important years of their lives.”

“It is a good school probably the only school of the district that teaches the students, though I haven't seen the entire layout there is a "reset room" that kids go in when they misbehave it is better than Karners concrete cells but it isn't the cleanest place, the sinks are outside of the bathrooms as well just incase students did wash their hands it isn't very hygienic as they don't clean the door handles into the bathroom but I mean going to the bathroom at school isn't that smartest idea at all in the first place. I'm giving this a four star because this is the only school of the district that taught me anything.”

“I have a 3rd grader and a pre-schooler. We've been there for three years now. Their arts infused program, the diverse cultures of their students and the diversity they are trying to instill in their students will make very capable students as they grow. We are fortunate to have a good neighborhood to be a part of, but I think the school utilizes this, along with its programs to help teach respect and teamwork in the kids that go there.”

“I have two kids at St. Peter's and cannot recommend it more highly. The teachers are caring and focused, and the small class sizes allow them to challenge each student to bring out their best. When we were looking at schools, what I wanted most was a place where my kids felt safe,confident, and were able to thrive. St. Peter's is that place. My first grader is greeted everyday by hugs from her friends, and my preschooler can't wait to run into his classroom and show off his latest artwork. We have found in St. Peter's a nurturing environment, rigorous academics, and a community that teaches my kids to be good students AND good people.”
