“"Connie's store" "Jack's Corner" or "Mike's Not Here" are some of the many names this little store has had. I went to this store in the 60s with 25 cents and filled my little brown bag with candy. I have many innocent fond memories of this little neighborhood store. How times have changed.”

“Bought a used car from this dealership. Paperwork process was headache free. Honored pre-approval letter from my own bank. Car had a minor engine issue, so I drove back, and the issue was fixed in a reasonable time, with no extra charge. These guys are legit, probably check them out.”

“A fine selection considering it's small size. Expect to be carded regardless of your lack of hair, collection of facial wrinkles, or sun spots. Besides that little legal matter, the service is some of the best you'll experience in this area, plus it's conveniently located steps from your local grocery store.”

“The store was chaos and when I got up to checkout and saw the million people in lines being routed into the aisles I considered just leaving... BUT the lady who works there named Rashay? Not sure if I caught her full name cuz she was moving so quick - she was rooting everyone where they needed to go, communicating clearly and efficiently and made the checkout super quick!! She is awesome.”

“Excellent learning opportunity for all students! My two children first enrolled in Violin lessons with Hovland scholarship for kindergarten students and they have learned a lot over the years. We value the teachers, the curriculum and the support. My children can now play complex pieces of music thanks to our wonderful teacher. Me and my husband have no background in music.”

“Awesome experience! Contacted my insurance company and worked with me on the phone to combine my claim from a previous auto glass servicer that could not complete the job appropriately. Incredible, and very quick service. Done in 50 minutes and first service of the day! Would recommend to anyone. If you have an older vehicle (20+ years) you may notice the glass is thinner than before and sits further back, but it works just as well!”

“I'm a graphic designer and I was looking for a print shop to handle a couple of projects I am working on. I called Nomadic Press this morning to inquire on whether or not they did printing other than letter press. Kent was SO helpful, even though they couldn't help me out. He asked what I was looking for and then explained things about the printing process that I didn't know, recommending another shop in Minneapolis that might be able to help me out. I will definitely be returning when I have a letterpress project that needs to be completed!”

“My son has been taking piano lessons at Melody Tree Studios for almost three years now. Rachel is kind and patient with my son and he continues to enjoy his lessons. Melody Tree Studios has been flexible during the pandemic, quickly pivoting to virtual lessons in 2020 and offering in-person lessons once life opened up again. Small group and individual lessons have been available. Rachel offers regular recitals and workshops to keep the children engaged. I would highly recommend Melody Tree Studios.”

“My brother and I went to Sparkle Auto Sales to help my dad get into a better car. We wanted to get him into a 6 cylinder SUV with low miles. I had 3 vehicles I wanted to test drive on my list. The first one was a Ford explorer and it threw an engine light right away so I moved on to the 2nd one. This was a 2014 Ford Edge SEL. Mark told us that he just needed to see a valid driver's license and we could get in the car and drive it around. That was really efficient. The car had so many screen control features that my 79 yr old father wanted to pass on it but we told him that he would learn it in time. I liked the fact that the car had only two previous owners. The car had 159K miles but my dad doesn't put on too many miles anymore. The purchase price was over the KBB value but I know that cars are selling higher post- Covid so we felt that we were getting my dad into a good car at a decent price. The car threw an engine light the day after we bought it but Mark told us to bring the car in and Greg would read the code and find out what was going on. Greg did just that and reset it for us. The code was for an A/C thing and it was December so we weren't too concerned. It threw a second check engine light the following day that Greg found a code for which was basically my father letting it idle too long in the garage. You don't need to warm these engines up like the older cars. This car throws good heat and has heated mirrors and seats. Good job Ford. The 3rd car on my list was a Jeep grand cherokee but it had sold earlier in the day. Mark and Greg were wonderful to work with and we had a great experience at Sparkle Auto Sales. These guys want you to have a good experience and they give you their time. They're a family owned business that has been around for over 40 years. We like to support the local small businesses. I will keep you posted on this car and how it does moving forward. The Johnsons FYI - We stopped at Car Max and they didn't even have any SUV's for $10K or less.”

“I would like to thank Jake, Adam, and the rest of the staff at the Maplewood Hirshfields Contractor Flooring store for taking a significant amount of time helping me as a customer/ commercial floor care refinishing contractor spec out the various materials needed for durable floor coatings. I was originally referred to Hirshfields by a product matter specialist and salesman from another paint company. He told me that Rust Oleum industrial coatings perform better and cost less than any other brand he has dealt with. He wasn't kidding. Specifically, I was having performance issues with 3 other brands of floor coatings in the commercial restaurant/cafeteria/dining as well as commercial and residential car traffic garages. I switched to Rust Oleum industrial coatings Sierra S60 for the commercial bar/restaurant/dining market and and have had no issues with peeling/chipping from bar stools/table legs since. I switched to Rust Oleum industrial coatings 9100 for commercial & residential car traffic garages that has high ASTIM (american society of testing materials, an independent laboratory who tests and rates industrial products and materials) durability rating and malleability with thermal shock (this means that in the winter cold it is engineered to be less likely (but not guaranteed) to peel and crack as the concrete expands and contracts in brittle cold temperatures. Another mystery challenge I have solved by working with rust oleum industrial coatings is the color flecking or paint chips you frequently see in residential Epoxy garage floors. I have seen a substantial number of garage floors that costed thousands to install fail within 18 months JAKE explained that the color chips are made from 2 types of materials. They are acrylic and vinyl. Acrylic, the same as interior wall paint offers decorative effects but isn't suited for industrial applications. Vinyl however is. To understand this, imagine if you owned a repair garage, paid big bucks for a washable maintainable epoxy floor system and dropped a cars brake rotor on the floor. Acrylic will fail chip every time, Vinyl may not. Vinyl is the same material you see in grocery stores so you can see how it performs better than paint chips. Rust oleum industrial coatings has an ASTIM rating spec sheet on all their industrial products so you the consumer or contractor can know what you are telling your customers preventing costly lawsuits and redo's. I would also like to thank the Downtown Minneapolis commercial store as well as the Plymouth location next to Home D. as well as Paul K from Rust Oleum tech support for their helpful knowledge. It should be noted that Paul K is the starting point for product applications to a specific project. He is the regional product matter specialist and go to guy who is fluent, can briefly discuss your matter and tell you which store and store agent can help you through your project. It should also be noted that I have posted some before and after photos referencing the products I have used. There are 2 galleries. In the first, we have a restaurant cafeteria with failing floors. I removed the old failing coating and applied a new brilliant color using Sierra s60 In Gallery 2 a do it yourself that was slippery and failed tyhrough peeling was ground and recoated with Rustoleum industrial 9100, and vinyl broadcast chips And for the record, no I don't work for any of these companies, my reviews are intended to help the local community. Thanks for reading and like my review as helpful plz.”
