“Without doubt the premium thrift store experience. Genius marketing in the name and extremely well presented throughout, they simply nailed the perfect formula. While the percentage of funds actually going to charitable causes is nowhere near what you'd expect, it's hard to argue with this business model. We supply their stock of saleable goods and they sell it back to us, generating massive profit margins. Well played. As for the individual shopping experience, it's magnificent. Like a treasure hunt, only without an 'X' marking the spot. Truthfully, it depends what you're in the market for. Being a fairly average sized individual as I am, there's great variety in the clothing. I check here maybe two or three times a year, and sometimes leave with more than a dozen items costing significantly under $100 in total. I even enjoy shopping here with my wife, partly because of those treasure hunt type feelings, but also knowing that if we do find something special, it's a wonderful treat delivered on a budget, which honestly feels twice as nice. Really, the only frustrations are finding things that look fantastic but aren't quite the correct size, because everything is unique, and they absolutely do not have alternate sizes. There's other stuff here besides clothing, though it is significantly harder to stumble into other types of goods that are exactly what you want. When you do though, it can be a quite stunning result. Our dining room table, for example. Easily worth ten times what we paid for it. Outstanding.”

“Great discounts, manager is super kind. Unfortunately the associate working as a cashier the morning of 06-10 (woman) had a really bad humor, I had to ask her some stuff twice and her expressions were just horrible. Does she ever smile to a customer? I’m very kind to associates all the time so it wasn’t me. I talked about it with my mom after we left the store and she agreed with me 100%. We also had our hands busy and we were trying to find the right size of t-shirts but we were messing up a little bit the pile, she came to us quickly as she saw struggling and she said “This is how you do it “ but taking in consideration her previous attitude I don’t think she was being helpful, she seemed more annoyed. 06/11 staff was walking around too much, I guess instead of having them over watching customers just have people watching the cameras if you guys are worried about shoplifting ? Cashier working on 06-11 was super kind too ( man ) .”

“Really cute & eclectic little shop that is INSIDE the lofts there. Thank goodness there was a sign that said to call on the call box because I definitely didn’t think I was in the right spot. I went on a Sunday an hour before closing & it was busy in there! I liked the bin/pile at the back so I could find some good deals. The items marked/priced that were hanging we quite a bit outside my price range. For example, a lot of the old graphic Tees were $40+. Tons of more gender neutral and very casual finds - I was hoping to find a dress or skirt but those items were slim pickings. Thank you for having a dressing room as well! (It’s the little curtained off area at the front)”

“Stillwater Kilts is primarily an online store. If you are in the Minnesota area you can call and setup an appointment to stop by. (You may even be lucky enough to meet one of the owners flying squirrels I was not so lucky) First off amazing Kilt Pins. The quality of which I have not seen. Jerry the owner does a great job on them. The kilts they have in stock or more of the larger known tartans. So if you’re looking for your clan you may be out of luck. If I heard correctly they don’t do custom tartans. But if you want one of their kilts custom sized they will work with you. The sporrans are really good quality. I picked one up for a benefit dinner I was attending. Jerry the owner won’t hesitate to have a conversation with you about any number of topics. I almost forgot it was our first time meeting him. Felt like I knew the guy for years. If you’re looking to support a local family business you have found it. Jerry was very responsive to emails and phone calls. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the service.”
