I recognize that taking over a patient from a previous doctor must be intimidating and takes some time to get to know the patient especially when dealing with comorbities of health conditions. That phone call made me also realize that I may know all that I have been struggling with, but the new Dr does not. It takes time and patience on both sides to develop trust and work collaboratively on a care plan.
