I ordered the ultimate pizza again giving the new order a chance to see if there was any difference. I was pleasantly surprised. This time around it was much better. “Had the most pleasant stay at the beautiful Afton Historic House. It has plenty of “historic” charm while still providing the right modern amenities. We look for and love hot tubs and do not typically care about whirlpool tubs BUT this one was totally different! It was huge and had great jets. Also the bar and restaurant in the same building was an awesome addition. Loved being able to walk to the great views of the river! Also really enjoyed our private deck.”

Service: Upon entering we were quickly greeted and seated and drink orders taken right away. Once our drinks arrived (just a couple minutes later) our order was taken. I estimate that we got our food in under 10 minutes, making the total enter-to-eating time about 15 minutes, which is just fantastic. Food: I ordered the Audubon sandwich with fries. The sandwich was really good and the bread they used worked really well with the rest of the ingredients. The regular fries which were thin cut and very well flavored. Atmosphere Felt like a nice small town cafe and was clean and felt very welcoming. Value There were three of us eating and the cost of lunch came to $38 before tip which, for the Metro Area, is surprisingly affordable.”

They serve Pepsi products which is disappointing but cheaper for them. The Resturant is clean but is definitely in need of a redecoration. They immediately recognized it and profusely apologized (to the point it made me feel awkward like I was being a jerk when all I was doing was saying it's fine, mistakes happen). I ordered their Fried Chicken Biscuits and Gravy. It was absolutely delicious. Other than the order mix up the service was spot on and I would have no issues with the same server on my next visit - yes I plan to go again. This would be an easy 5 stars if not for the mix up. In the end it still is because everything was delicious, they made the situation right, and the rest of my parties service and food was spot on as well. Everyone should remember, mistakes happen. How you recover is important and Hazelwood recovered as best as possible.”

““Broder’s Pasta Bar” sounds like an informal place with low prices. After getting urged by friends and family to eat there, I tried it and loved it, even though it’s more expensive than any other restaurant we go to. The food delights the pickiest foodie, and the pasta portions are generous. It is a small space, and usually very busy. When we have the money and want to celebrate something, we are fine with waiting a long time for a table. They text us when they have a table for us.”
