Wonderful venue! John & the staff are very helpful & accommodating.
This attraction is a great way to spend a couple of hours while in Kansas City. The tour gives you some information about some of the earlier TWA planes, as well as history of the airport, and you get to walk through a Connie and another plane they have on display. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and provided a great experience. If you have the time, stop by and take in this museum and support their preservation and restorations efforts.
Very nice staff. We even got to go inside a few of the planes. Would recommend checking it out!
Awesome place. My parents and wife loved it. Very old airplanes available to see from inside, airplane engine are opened to see inside. No fighting planes thought. Our Guide was a great and knowledged guy, he explained everything and answered all our questions. Entry fee was only 8$.
There is another TWA museum near by, I think that doesn't have any plans to see, only picture. Entry fee is separate for both of these places.
I really enjoyed this place. The tour guide was a retired TWA pilot who got to fly several of the planes in display. He knew his stuff and the large amount of knowledge made the museum much more enjoyable. There is also a flight simulator that you can get on (but have to pay separately). Wear cool clothing as the planes are stored in an actual hangar that can get hot.
National Airline History Museum Walk through the "Golden Age of Aviation." The museum collection of artifacts and displays begins with the Wright brother's first flight and travels through the jet age, bringing history to life.
