(November 1, 2018, 10:46 am)Don't want to review this because it's such a great secret. It's just a short jump from the KC Metro area and has such nice camp loops and several nice trails. It's just a slice of slow and quiet around the hustle of the city.

(October 29, 2018, 7:38 pm)We visited this park this fall for a short picnic and were very impressed with what we saw. There is a beutiful lake for fishing and boating. There us a shelter near to the lake where you can eat and spend a quality time with your friends or family.
It's an excellent place for camping, do fishing, swimming and of course just chilling out. The park renders a lot of greenery and the place is located in a nice little pocket which is easy to access.

(October 3, 2018, 5:52 pm)This was an excellent State Park. Very well groomed. Shower house was amazingly clean and great water pressure. I was only here overnight. However, I felt very welcome and comfortable! The host checking me in offered me a different spot which was more level. Made it a lot easier to get set!

(October 1, 2018, 10:24 am)This is a very beautiful State Park. While on a long road trip I stopped here for one night. My campsite was very nice and had plenty of shade. I was there on an offseason weeknight and it was very quiet and pleasant. Would definitely come back to this state park again.

(September 22, 2018, 6:59 pm)Fantastic campgrounds! The camp host are very pleasant and the facilities are kept very clean. There is a shower facility that has 3 showers for men and women. The showers have a door to a dressing area and curtain for the shower. Campground area has vaulted restrooms. Each campsite has a nice tent area, either a picnic table or covered table area. 2 campgrounds for tents and two camp grounds for RV use. There are 4 very nice hiking trails and a nice size lake that can be fished in. Very pleased with this park and will be back soon.
