(December 26, 2017, 6:52 am)We both had a blast here with our family members, as there's something for everyone here, from the kids up to the elderly patriarchs and matriarchs of our crazy, Southern, dysfunctional clan.
We came to Kansas City to see relatives by marriage, but ended up staying days on end afterward to visit the Nelson, this museum, and several RLDS sites in Independence.
Our nieces and nephews had a BLAST "packing up" their own westward-bound covered wagons, and we were extremely happy to see that they finally understood what their own ancestors had had to do in the very worst of conditions so very, very long ago.
Who knew that Kansas City had so much to offer the casual tourist? -
