  Lived in Independence all my life. And have driven past the mansion many times. Today I visited it with my sister Kathryn who also had never been there. The tour guide was charming and very informative. Had a great time. Thank you.

  Beautiful domicile, exquisitely appointed. An interesting story well presented and a very pleasant way to spend a day.

  Vaile Mansion is a beautiful historic home near the square in Independence MO. The home is incredibly decorated for Christmas and docents are ready to give a guided tour and furnish details of the home and period furnishings. Restoration has been beautifully and thoughtfully done, even referring to historical documents to repaint the ceiling designs. This place is well worth a visit. Daytime only.

  My son and I really like visiting the Vaile Mansion. We learn something new every time. The volunteers are so knowledgeable and gracious.

  If you love history and old houses this is a must-see. if you choose to go at Christmas time you will find every room decked out in Holiday cheer. The volunteer guides are very knowledgeable and quick to answer any questions you may have.
