  I'm excited to share this place with u. Find this place and enjoy the journey. Food is very good. But, the baked beans are filled with flavor and burnt meat pieces. Absolutely the best baked beans I have ever eaten.

  BBQ? Fantastic. Customer Service? Awesome. So why only 4 stars? Well, if I could do 4.5, I would, 4 stars is a little harsh. But it was lacking 1 thing, and that was the feel like an actual restaurant. I get it. It's authentic. It's been around for a while. But it doesn't have to literally look like a whole in the wall. It was messy. They had a box of paperwork, napkins, etc on a side table out on the dining floor. They have a ATM machine that says "Out of service" next to their beer refrigerator, and it looks like it's been there for years. Like I said, it's a little harsh, but it's the little things. Just looked like a cluttered mess. Loved the food and the people though.

  I stopped here about a month ago for lunch on my way from Minnesota to Texas. I read a few articles on line to fine good BBQ in KC and decided to try LC's - and I am so glad I did. It was a rainy day but the line went out the door, I now know why. I had the burnt ends, fries, baked beans and a beer and all I can say is it was by far the best food I had in a long time! The amount of food was beyond generous and I ate my leftovers that night. The people that run LC's are very nice and I can't wait to return! I'm craving some LC's!

  I was just in here to meet up with some friends from overseas. I came in very late just to join the crew for a few minutes before closing time. Since I arrived late, I did not order anything. An employee (that I truly wish I got the name of) noticed I was not eating and went out of his way to provide me with a chicken breast and side of beans. As he delivered the food he looked me in the eyes and said, "here you go, welcome home, man", and patted me on the back. Without going into too much detail, that kind gesture came at a time where I was feeling quite down and really needed it. The only reason I didn't eat the food is because I am actually a vegetarian. The same employee also sang Happy Birthday to my friends' one year old son, and it was so beautiful that I got chills listening to it. The point of this is to say thank you to that gentleman for being so kind. Rest assured, this restaurant is worth your business. Thank you for reading.
