Blue River Parkway Trails - Wagon Loop Trail Head

This is the best access to the Wagon Loop Trail from E Blue Ridge Blvd. Although not marked, it's easy to find as it's just east of the bridge as shown in the photo. Once on the trail, head south and you will see the sign shown in the second photo. The west branch, next to the river, is very easy to follow. The east branch is clear to follow, but sometimes one loop section of the eastern branch almost connects to the another loop section. Also, the eastern branch merges with a high line utility road at the southern end. Keep to the right of the road to pick the trail up again.

This is a beautiful area and I saw a Gray Heron above the river.

I parked across the bridge in the Blue River Park (Brown Athletic Area).

As of May 28, 2018, ticks were bad in the area. So, take precautions.
