Velie Park is nice and it's a pretty walking trail in the woods and over the small bridge. However, this does not connect to the Little Blue Trace trail as the name might imply. There is no way to get to Little Blue Trace without going down to Lee's Summit Rd, which is now much nicer thanks to the recent construction.
