The service was good, she was very friendly. The atmosphere was somewhat peaceful, I liked it. I mean it's a diner, you expect a little noise. But it was peaceful. The food I thought was SOOOO good.
Grandfather lives in the area and when I come up to visit I know where we will be eating. I really enjoy it, has a diner fill with home cooking. Love eating here and I know he really enjoys when I come into town as it gives him an excuse to go.
Really good country cooking! Service was great. Nothing fancy but a nice place to eat lunch.
As the second owner of a 1972 VW Baja Champion SE, which I've had in storage for over 20 years, the time had come to get it back on the road. For a while, I wasn't sure it would ever happen. I searched the St. Louis area for a shop that specializes in classic air-cooled VWs. After speaking with 2 other shops, my search ended at Midwest Air-Cooled & Machine. After speaking with Jason, I knew I found the shop for me...and my VDub. Jason took time to explain what commonly is performed on VWs that have been stored for many years and what to expect.
With my car being what I believe is considered a "survivor" car, I felt confident that Jason and his team would take good care of it and get it back on the road. Jason put me on his list and said he would call when he had an opening. A couple of months later, I got the call. The car was brought to the shop and extensive mechanical work was performed. Two weeks later, my VDub was up and running!
This is where it gets really important. We've all heard the saying "service after the sale." With a 48 year old car that has just been revived, it is expected that some issues may surface...and they did. They were minor ones which Jason gladly addressed and corrected. That my friends, is service after the sale!
If you are in search for someone who knows air-cooled VWs and who has the knowledge and skill to repair them correctly, give Jason and his team a call... I'm glad I did, I think you will too!
If you have a classic VW you already know how hard it is to find someone to work on your pride and joy. Jason is top notch bumper to bumper! This is the guy you need to call first.

Luke and Jason are great!!!
Very helpful getting our '77 bus running well. Hit the timeline and budget agreed on. Rebuilt using quality parts and its running strong.
