“What a gem! Was going to the movies with my wife and just popped in for dinner before the movie. I would classify this place as upscale bar but definitely not snooty. The regulars welcomed us and chatted us up. The bartenders were helpful in making good dinner choices. Great food and amazing whiskey selection. We would make this our "go-to" place but it's a bit of a drive for us. But we WILL be back!! Try the spaghetti and meatballs!!!”

“Olive Garden, eat your heart out. The pasta con broccoli is my go to choice here. Husband adores the lasagna. Kiddo was quite happy with his spaghetti and meatballs. Toasted ravioli makes a great appetizer. Salad is much better than the one at Olive Garden (and Olive Garden only has its salad, breadsticks and soup going for them). Waitresses and Waiters are quick with service and very friendly. This is now our go to Pasta place.”

“While in town for the day my wife was craving breakfast food. Thought to try Slingers for the first time as the reviews were overall good. The Slammers were good. The hash browns are ok, scrambled eggs didn’t have any seasoning so all we tasted was liquid eggs most likely poured from a carton, bacon was a great size but they place it under the gravy so you end up getting soggy bacon. For soggy bacon, it wasn’t bad. The star of the slammer was the gravy. Now I can’t wait to try their biscuits and gravy. It taste real and is really really good, like something someone would make at home if they didn’t make sausage gravy. The pancakes had that good diner taste. FYI the takeout box doesn’t come with syrup but I was heading to a house that had syrup so I wasn’t mad. The french toast also had that good diner taste. They weren’t overloaded with cinnamon or powered sugar. FYI they also didn’t come with syrup. I didn’t give 5 stars as it was good but at $30+ I’d wish for better hash browns, eggs and to include syrup (especially if I were going to a park to eat).”

“Recently ate and stayed at the russel house. Great food, neat building, sweet staff. Only real issue with the hotel room was that the AC unit is bolted directly to the outside wall and it humms and rattled the entire room like there was a semi parked right outside the room, made it difficult to sleep. Otherwise well put together room and fair priced, we will return to eat just not stay”
