  Wonderful locally owned cafe! We were bummed when they had to close for the pandemic but they are OPEN offering take out only. They have their menu posted on the windows where you can decide what you want, order at the door, and pickup your order around towards the back of the store. They made it so easy to keep distance and stay safe, while enjoying a bit of normalcy in a fresh latte and scone!

  lovely atmosphere, lots of light, and great menu options. A little too pricey to be an everyday spot (and a bit over-budget for much of the neighborhood), but always a nice place to splurge a little. I'd love to see a $1 option for to make the place more accessible to those living in the community. Great place to go alone or meet up with friends!

  More than accommodating and happy to help. Relaxing environment with clean, natural color palette and full natural wood tables and hanging plants. Food was delicious and healthy, delivered to our table with a smile. Will definitely be back.

  My wife and I really enjoyed our brunch at the Fiddlehead Fern Cafe. She got the apple and brie toast, I got the garden veggie grits (plus cheese and egg), and we both got the Brazilian coffee. The meals were delicious, and the coffee was very well-balanced, complimenting our respective meals nicely. It was very busy when we went, but we were still able to find a seat (it's a first come, first serve dining area). And kudos to whoever selected the playlist (while we were there it was lots of Beatles with some Dylan mixed in).

  I believe that growing up in the St. Louis Shaw neighborhood was different from any other. The ambiance of this neighborhood gave it a unique vibe where a community can come together. The owner of Fiddlehead Fern not only grew up in the neighborhood and chose this location as a reason to bring affluence to it, but captured her very own unique essence to offer the residents as an addition to the community. I was privileged to work here for a short time while temporarily living in St. Louis. Not only was the team managed and run with positive encouragement and motivation but with attention to detail and critique that was never belittling. The warm, clean, friendly charm of the atmosphere allows for all the regular customers to come in and spend time with friends, read or get some work done while enjoying great quality food, coffee, tea or more in a relaxing environment. Even on the weekends the Cafe has successfully staffed itself to keep up with the high demand of customers to keep things going fast paced while their guests listen to live music and take advantage of the cocktail specials. Resting in one of my favorite places in St. Louis right next to the Missouri Botanical Gardens and Tower Grove Park is now, by far, my favorite Cafe in St. Louis. Cheers Fiddlehead! Keep doing an excellent job!
