It's packed with information and highlights the experiences of some overlooked figures in American history. I especially liked the information about York, who was enslaved by William Clark, and the displays about early Black Protestant churches in US history. The wax figures were amazingly crafted as well.

Very information dense, lots to read and knowledgeable employees. Good for older kids, we had an 8 year old with us and she was pretty engaged but I think I’m not sure I’d take a younger child

The entry fee is very reasonable at $10. The employees inside are extremely helpful and accommodating. I was able to learn a few new things about Black history that was nice to know. Keep up the good work!!

A very interesting museum with unique exhibits that are a mix of entertaining and moving. The Josephine Baker exhibit is beautiful. While the exhibit about the slave trade and the middle passage was heart wrenching and thought provoking. Definitely one of the more unique attractions of St Louis.
