Unger Park

Beautiful disc golf course! Very peaceful and great views! A lot of poison ivy along baskets 1-5 in the woods so be careful!

Found this place on accident a few years ago.

I visit once a twice a year just to do something different.

The path long the riverbank is cool, as it different from some of the other local parks.

I have never use the frisbee golf course.

There is a creepy abandoned house along the edge of the park that I would avoid or walk pass quickly. It creeps me out quite a bit.

Unger Park has a smaller 18 hole disc golf course that is regularly maintained and has lots of good obstacles and elevation changes that make it challenging. There is only one basket placement per hole and the tees are currently turf but it is still fun to play a quick round. It's been fun watching the course change over the past year because recently it was only a 9 hole but then they added an extra 9 in the woods. It can get a little wet after a big rain but the course captains try to help out by adding stepping stones and mulch in the wettest spots. Holes 7 and 8 have the best views since you are throwing near the water and there are often cool animals around.

This is a nice little park, along the Meramec River, and is part of the Meramec Greenway. The paved trail also leads to other small parks along the river. We especially enjoyed spending time on the shoreline of the lake, where Lacey got to take a dip in the water. We didn't see any on site restroom facilities, so if they're there, we missed the.
