Dr. Sandra S. Hoffmann, MD

I have been going to Dr. Hoffmann for over 12 years and I think she is one of the best RA doctors around. She will take the time to listen to you and give you the best care. I have been to several other rheumatoid doctors in the past and she is by far the most experienced.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hoffmann's for about 15 years now. I wouldn't trust my care to anyone else. Her nurses, Sherry and Barb, have been with her this entire time and that says alot. I find all of them very very compassionate and caring. I did leave her practice for awhile when she joined SSM. Things just weren't the same. I tried a Dr at SLU. She was kind but she wasn't Dr. Hoffmann. As soon as she was no longer with SSM , I immediately came back. I was no longer in remission, as I had been when I went to the other Dr. After some medicine changes, we finally got things under control again. It is important to be a part of your medical team, to know and understand what you're going through, what medications you're taking, your allergies and get your bloodwork done as needed. It's important to know what your bloodwork is and when it's different than other times. Know your body. This will help not only your visit with Dr. Hoffmann but yourself in your healing process. YOU are your best advocate. Dr. Hoffmann is amazing and has worked wonders for me. There were times I didn't think I'd make it through a flare. We changed treatments and, over time, not overnight, things got better.

I have been a patient of Dr Hoffman for 15yrs and must say she is the best doctor!!! She is very thorough and takes her time with each patient , so your wait may be lengthy in your exam room; but she is worth the wait. I just love her sincerity and care for my condition and the efforts to get me better and keep me out of pain. She is awesome!!!
