“In the past five years this cemetery has totally changed for the better; once run-down and abandoned, is now beautiful and peaceful. This is due to an overwhelming community commitment to maintain, and support Friends of Father Dickson with emphasis's on understanding and respecting the first and second generations of slaves buried in these hallowed grounds. “This Cemetery has beautiful trees 🌲 🌳 and statues. They have people attending the grounds. It was good to not see trash 🗑 everywhere and rubblish. They seem to respect the grounds and take care of it. I went to visit my grandpa 👴 and put flowers down 💐. There was no one there so it was nice and quiet . I got to visit my grandfather in peace and quiet. There is no bathrooms 🚽 or none that I saw or found, so I would go to the restrooms before you visit the grounds. I would recommend this place. It’s seems very peaceful there.”

“Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum is an amazing place to take a walk and learn some history, especially if you pair it with Bellefontaine Cemetery next door. There are quite a few famous names like Dred Scott, William Tecumseh Sherman, and Tennessee Williams and standing next to their graves is incredibly powerful. I recommend pulling up their Wikipedia pages and reading them aloud while next to their graves.”

“Chapel Hill is such a lovely place to give your loved ones a peaceful and serene resting place. Both my parents are forever together with several other family members that rest there as well. It is a calming feeling to know that they are in good care by such professional people who are staffed at there. Everyone is so thoughtful and nice and their kindness is so appreciated when I was going through such a difficult time. I highly recommend that you consider this organization if you should ever need such services.”

“My Mother is buried here. She passed a year ago tomorrow, and we all went to visit her gravesite today. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and the grounds are very well maintained. I only have three issues that kept me from giving five stars. First, the promised phone call when Mom's marker was placed never came. We only found out it had been placed when we visited on Mother's Day. Second, it's the condition of some of the roads. There are some major potholes there. Third, the condition of the wooden cross at the cemetery's highest point is worrying. It is leaning severely to the north and looks like a strong wind could take it down. Half of the nuts and bolts that connect it to the concrete base via a steel bracket are missing, with some of them just laying next to it.”

“Our 18 year old dog passed away last week in our home. I contacted Animal Care Services and they were kind, and genuine. I spoke to one gentleman at first who gave me additional information and pricing, he was very nice. Then i spoke with Lance, and really i don’t think i could have dealt with anybody better. He was kind, and gentle with our sweet girl. Today we received her ashes back, and Lance made sure that someone was at our home to receive them, and didn’t just leave them on our front porch. Everything was packaged beautifully as well. If you are in the unfortunate position of losing a pet, and choose cremation, I could not recommend them more. Thank you!”

“Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery is a beautiful place. It is a small cemetery tucked away off of Fee Fee Road. The cemetery once belonged to Saint Marys Catholic Church. The church was dissolved during the airport expansion. The cemetery is now part of the Saint Louis Catholic Archdiocese.”
