I suffered a tibial plateau fracture, underwent my first major surgery and was sent to physical therapy to learn to walk again. I chose Select Physical Therapy because of a recommendation from my neighbor. I have been more than satisfied. My PT Alli Volkens is highly knowledgeable and personable. She is a good listener and honestly cares about her clients. The facility is fantastic including the front desk staff. “Nice place, warm and inviting. Very good massage although she used a bit more of her forearms than I prefer. The table was just okay, kind of uncomfortable and hard and had a mild smell to it. Would return, but is not the best massage in town IMO.”

“I called up Ascent Physical Therapy since a friend suggested them to me. I was having problems still many months after I had my knee replaced. I went to a big and well known PT clinic in Lee's Summit for about 3 months, multiple times every week. I got my bend to 120 degrees and they told me that I was done. I still couldn't get on the floor to play with my grandchildren. I also found it hard to do stairs and to get down for gardening. I got back to exercising at the gym, but just didn't get where I wanted. I saw Erik in my home for 4 visits over a month or two and within 2 visits, I was able to play on the floor again! I got back to doing all the things I mentioned above and I know I can do even better with more work. I plan on working with him once or twice every month for as long as I can foresee. I want to get as much as I can out of this new knee.”
