Wish I had more time to look around but what I saw had lots of information.
Beautiful new building circa 2008. Very helpful staff. They've got lots of info on the naturel plants and animals in the area as well as animals that were there when the Lewis and Clark expedition came thru 210 years ago. It's very close to the beautiful Bob Kerry pedestrian bridge, nicknamed the Bob, by locals connecting Nebraska and Iowa, allowing all people access to walk across it.
Visitors Center is informative. A great place to learn about this area.
Small but nice visitors center with good little gift shop and helpful staff and informative pamphlets and displays about Lewis and Clark trails and origins. No food or drinks offered inside or anywhere within walking distance outside.
Pretty little landscaped walking area outside near the great "Bob" pedestrian bridge over the Missouri River.
There were several small exhibits we walked through with our kids. They enjoyed feeling the animal hides and looking at the replicas of old tools and gadgets used by the explorers. The place was not a big or entertaining as I expected, but we didn't spend much time there. We did walk around the grounds as the weather was decent. There is also a nice pedestrian bridge going over the Missouri river and fountains the kids played in that were all accessible from the same area; we didn't have to move the car at all.
