I recently contacted bath planet to remove tub and replace with walk in shower. sales person Chad is really niceand took time to explain all the avail;able options very clearly. He came in for 2nd time to answer all our question. I was in a rush to get it installed and cant wait for 4 months which is current waiting period, he was able to squeeze me in for a prior day. Finally Installation day came and the guys who came for installing are very genrous and helpful. They answered all questions and made sure to check everything twice.

The process was challenging, but overall we are extremely happy with our bathroom remodel from Bath Planet. They were very helpful with design ideas, gave us a solid and reliable estimate of the costs, and the finished work is beautiful. There were some communication issues between the workmen and the main office, and estimated completion time was significantly off base; however, despite these issues, I would recommend this company for your next bathroom project.

What we love the most: the vanity and the shower. We have an old house with one bathroom, and it’s in an odd place with odd dimensions (for example, the shower is underneath a staircase, and the location of the sink plumbing made the vanity selection a bit tricky). The original agent with whom we spoke gave us some terrific ideas for these problematic spaces, and we are quite pleased with how they look and function. The design choices they helped us make give the whole room a kind of cohesion it didn’t have before; it looks well-conceived instead of just kind of thrown together.

The people who did the actual work were very friendly and professional. One of the things I appreciated most was that they were conscientious about cleaning up. They listened to our questions and concerns with great patience, communicated well and completed the work with great efficiency. I really can’t compliment the workers enough on their courtesy and professionalism.

As with any remodeling job, we did encounter a few problems. The original time estimate was 3-5 days. The actual work took 14 working days to complete. When I expressed my frustration to one of the workmen, he did say that they guys in the office often didn’t understand how much time individual aspects of the job required. The job began in mid-June was not completed until mid-August, but a few of the issues couldn’t be helped; the original bathtub they’d brought to install had a crack on the edge, so they had to order a new one, and that took 5 or 6 weeks. A towel rack they’d ordered was missing a bracket and that also took some time to reorder. One of the shower fixtures had some nasty spots that I could not remove so they finally just replaced it. So do plan on the possibility of the job taking longer than the original estimate.

There were also some communication problems between the workmen and the main office. We’d ordered a hand-held sprayer for the bathtub, and that wasn’t on the work order, so that had to be resolved. We’d also ordered some inset panels to be installed in the closet doors, and they just forgot all about those; it turned out OK because when work was nearing completion we decided we didn’t really need them, and it was easy to get that taken off our bill. And it was important for us to know exactly when they were coming to work; with one bathroom in the house, we needed to be in the bathroom before they arrived for the day. Most times they called to let us know, but a few times that slipped through the cracks.

So while the process was a bit of a mixed bag, we are very happy with the results, and we recommend Bath Planet for your next bathroom project.
