One of the best hiking spots closest to Omaha. You've got two trails (one short, and the longer one adds on) with loads of trees, a creek, suspension bridge, and nature! Best for hiking, or running, but you can definitely bike it.
Well kept and tree shaded picnic areas
Some trails were closed, as well as the museum—maybe due to the season or COVID but, there were still much to see. No crowds at all. It was quiet and pretty cold. I probably saw two people. It was a bit eerie exploring with no sounds, other than the nearby cars driving by the road and, maybe, some birds. It was a pleasant small hike after a long morning. It was peaceful for me. I loved it.
Wish there were more live exhibits.
In the dead of winter one can get in touch with the outdoor joys of nature in summer.
