  As a parent, I highly recommend this Jiu Jitsu gym! My son has been going here for about a year and a half, and it’s been a great experience. Coach Steve is always there, and he is an amazing instructor; he is super patient and encouraging with all of the kids. My son loves him and coach Joe, the wrestling instructor! This gym is like a big family, and it’s a beautiful thing to watch the kids learn and grow together in an environment that encourages respect, discipline, hard work and cooperation. We are so grateful to have found this gym!

  Learning something new is always a little scary, especially when it involves simulating a potential conflict or learning how to defend yourself. It's even more intimidating as a female walking into a room full of dudes who all clearly know way more about any of this than you do, have been doing it a lot longer than you have, and outweigh you by 75 pounds on average.
  
  This place is great at making sure that you a) feel comfortable interacting with people and b) feel welcome in an otherwise unfamiliar environment.
  
  I've only been coming two months, but my plan is to keep coming because what I learn in here will keep me safe out there.
  
  Also you totally lose like 5 pounds every class from sweating so hard and that's kind of amazing.

  The owner Steve and his coaches create such a family culture that its so fun to see our daughter enjoy her class and classmates both in and out of class. Classes are extremely well structured and promote a well balanced mix of learning and fun. Love seeing how far our daughter has broken out of her shell and thrived at Odin's Halls

  We found Odin’s Halls a few months ago and both my husband and daughter joined up. It was amazing to me how instantly we became part of the family. Coach Steve and coach Joe are the best of the best. They genuinely have a passion for what they do and are incredible teachers for our daughter. They make class so fun for the kids and give the one on one time that is needed to insure the moves are executed perfectly. The amount of support and encouragement they give every child or adult who steps on that mat is amazing.

  The instructor at Odin's Halls BJJ is a hard-working, knowledgeable, disciplined, and determined individual who has a wealth of skill sets when it comes to the teaching of jiu jitsu to anyone with a thirst to learn. He is an accomplished and well decorated competitor and coach who truly provides the kids, as well as the adults, with guidance, while teaching them the intricacies and inner workings of this highly effective martial art.
  
  Coach Steve, as the kids like to call him, has dedicated his life to learning and being the best at what he does, and his wall of accomplishments littered with trophies and medals demonstrates the dedication he not only put into his own betterment, but how he now transgresses that same attitude into his passion of passing on all he knows to his students, all of which he considers to be an extension of his own family.
  
  Odin's Halls BJJ is not just a gym to learn martial arts (as it does provide other arts such as Muay Thai, Wrestling, and yoga), but it is a second home forthe kids and their families alike. This is the atmosphere that Coach Steve personally strove for and the warmth and success that this establishment has accomplished in just a year is clearly evident by one just visiting his classes on any given day, especially the kids classes that are bursting in attendance to the point he could probably divide them up further or could use additional coaches and a larger dojo (my terminology for the gym, I was a karate guy growing up ???).
  
  With all that being said, if you're interested in learning to defend yourself, to compete, or just learning jiu-jitsu for the fun of it, as well as some other martial art forms, then I can promise you that you will not be one bit disappointed with Steve and his awesome staff of friends and family. Also, if you're seeking a place that your children can feel safe, have fun, and learn good sportsmanship, while being competitive and having a winning and confident personality, then you'll be happy to learn that this place provides everything you could want all bundled up in a nutshell. The kids are taught discipline, determination, hard work ethic, all while understanding the keys of sportsmanship and treating others with the same respect that they expect to be given.
  
  For the amount of sweat and tears that Coach Steve puts into the things he loves and has passion for, his monthly/yearly rates are not only competitive and affordable in comparison to other gyms teaching similar skills, but perhaps even underpriced for the environment he creates and all the additional perks he offers along with enrollment.
