Atmosphere is awesome, walk through the hidden door to find a large bar with plenty of seating. Decent size lounge area with comfortable seating. Live burlesque Show on Friday nights, they do magic shows as well.
Service was excellent and barkeep was super friendly. Phenomenal Bourbon list and they make a mean Whiskey Sour! The 1923 Barrel Aged Old Fashioned is really good too.
1923 Prohibition Bar is right up my alley. Conveniently located in the Shops at Mandalay Bay. If your staying nearby this place is a must!
Really fun place! The best part is seeing the door and having the courage to push it open to see what's inside. Once you do, you are treated with a swanky speakeasy with plush seating and overall amazing ambience. Brandy was our server and she was well informed on the cocktails and gave great recommendations. I had the 1923 Old Fashioned which was the best Old Fashioned I have ever had! Really great bourbon and a nice heavy pour. My husband had Al Capone's Mule Kick which was a little tart for him but still good. Really great place to chill and have a nice drink!
I have been wanting to go to this bar since I heard about it several years ago, but I got there too late and it was closed. This was when it first opened and was in a different location than it is now. I have to say the current location is so cozy, creative and transports you to a different time. The hidden entrance/door is everything. The bartenders are friendly, fun, attired appropriately to the theme and make a good drink. I'll definitely be visiting again when I'm back in town.
Oh heck yeah. Very nice high end whisky selection and wonderful atmosphere. Hard to find selections with a dark, mysterious ambiance. A very comfortable environment to sip delicious whisky. A must visit if you are whisky connoisseur. Bonus, secret door to enter, fun!
At first we were hesitant to try to open the door because last time we past this place, the door was open. After finally having the guts, we did as the door said. Push to open, and sure enough, it open to a beautifully decorated bar and lounge. I felt transported back to the Prohibition Era. Like a hidden bar, yet no password needed.
We sat by one of their screened fireplaces. I order the maple bacon something drink, can't remember the name as I do this review but I did take a pic from the menu, and it was amazing!
Definitely want to come back when they have live music.
