  I love hiking here. Even when it's full, there aren't people everywhere. There's a great variety of terrain, so whether you're put for a short stroll or want to clamber over rocks, there's a place for you.
  They're still rebuilding the boardwalk, so half the parking lot is blocked, but that should be done soon.

  Great place for a picnic!! Has BBQ stands next to the covered picnic tables. Just before the red rock canyon.
  Will be back next time we are in las Vegas.

A Ranger will be at the Red Spring Picnic Area with binoculars and a stack of field guides, ready to help you locate and identify all the birds, bats, and bugs that come out during twilight. Come anytime from 6 to 8 PM, stay as long as you like. All ages. No registration necessary.
