Loses a star because the scenic drive was closed due to high use. This place was unbelievably busy on the Sunday I went, easily comparable to Grand Canyon or Death Valley. Parking is ample in but it fills up really quick and they don't have the resources of other parks so they then have to shut down some areas to keep others staffed. The direct result of this was that I was unable to hike with my dad all the way to icebox canyon in the time we had. All that said, the place is beautiful and I understand why it is so popular, especially when it is sunny but not too hot. Worth the trip, just get there early or plan to hike a long way to get close to the red rocks.

Beautiful and that is not even saying enough. The mountains/ valleys to see here are amazing and very much something everyone should go see. It's not that expensive to get in somewhere around $15 dollars a car I believe, maybe $20. Other than that it will take you a good 4+ hours to see everything if you climb around or do some trail hiking. It's very fun and a beautiful place to see highly recommended

Great scenic drive and hiking. Dog friendly areas. There was a delightful pond of frogs that would serenade if you stayed quiet for a short while. Highly recommend getting out of the car to explore the wonder of this area. Some fantastic visitors made a massive Deathly Hallows symbol out of rocks on a trail. ????

Come early especially if you plan on coming during the weekend. Arrived at around 7am on a Saturday and there was 2 cars in line.. 2 hours later (9am) I saw large groups coming in and the parking lot filled up quick. Parking can be tight since many park their car for hours to go on the hiking trails. It's a beautiful park to drive through. You can spend about 1-3 hours here. Enjoy!

Awesome hike up the ice box. Navigating the boulders is a lot of fun. Keep going till you get to the end. You'll know when your there as there's no where else to go. Once you reach the base of the waterfall you can climb the steep rocks to the left then cross over to the right side, climb some more then hop back to the left side to view a large pool of water and feel some spray from the waterfall. That last bit is not for the faint of heart but well worth the effort. My son went one step further and took a dip in the icy cold water. What a great adventure!

Calico hills is a good one for a short walk with some options for climbing. Calico tanks is longer but sooo worth it. Lost Creek is a gorgeous, super short hike with a waterfall at the end.
