Healthy Smiles Dental

Drill, fill, and bill is the M.O. of a lot of dentists, it seems, at least over the past several years. With that, I went from a child/teen/young adult who used to love going to the dentist twice per year with my impeccable dental hygiene, being able to receive an excellent cleaning and words of affirmation to 'keep up the good work!' to an adult who was uncertain whether I would hear more of the above, or that I had developed multiple cavities all of a sudden - with my dental hygiene and diet improving even more since adulthood, oddly.

In any case, with a few relocations, I have received dental care in NV, WA, and OR over the past 6 years. Some dentists have been better than others, regarding chair side manner as well as apparent honesty. I finally found a true gem of a dentist in Kennewick, WA at the end of 2018, but moved back to Las Vegas soon after. Since, I have had the unfortunate experience of going to two offices near Healthy Smiles with lackluster care and cocky dentists being the norm

Fast forward to now. I had found Healthy Smiles on my dental insurance website as a covered provider last month and took the plunge. I called to make my appointment, was extremely pleasantly surprised that one Saturday per month was offered for patient convenience, and I provided my information.

Today, as I pulled in to the business complex where Healthy Smiles is located, I could not help but notice how quiet, quaint, and clean it was. Walking into the office for my X-rays/Cleaning/Exam, I was greeted by Elaine. She was extremely polite, took my temperature and had me fill out a COVID-19 questionnaire. Whilst filling it out, she kindly told me how pretty my hair was! Wow, thank you for that kind compliment!! It put a huge smile on my face. I then sat down for just a couple minutes before being called back.

Nicole was my dental hygienist and was sweet, a good conversationalist, and very knowledgeable! I had several questions throughout my cleaning and she was detailed in answering all of them. She was also gentle, while still doing an AWESOME job on my cleaning. My mouth felt great when she was finished with her final polishing! Additionally, Nicole was complimentary regarding my dental hygiene and tooth health and, being a millennial, I do love receiving 'gold stars'!!!

Soon after she completed, I had the fortune to meet Dr Kuranko. A nice chair side manner, I could see his smiling eyes when we began talking! He was genuine, thorough, and took a detailed look at both my X-rays and my mouth. The verdict? NO CAVITIES!

I valued my time spent at Healthy Smiles today, having been treated like a treasured patient. Here is my promise: even if I move out of town again, I WILL come back biannually to have my teeth cleaned by this amazing team.

Dr.Kuranko is simply the best!!!! The staff share the same Excellence! Elaine, Maria and Stacey just to name a few!! I recommend this practice to all my family friends and coworkers!!

Dr Kuranko was incredibly gentle and thorough with all of my complicated extractions, implants, and all-on-fours! He was resourceful and creative in resolving a problem that several other dentists could not with my complicated and unique various implant models! He had a packed schedule but took me in anyway. He's so friendly and delicate when handling my mouth that I won't go to anyone but him in the future including my family. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering any type of dental work!

Had a great experience today! Nice clean office and a friendly team. Dr Kuranko was gentle and he explains things well. Got my teeth whitened and I can't stop smiling. I highly recommend!!
