My older cantilever bridge fell out Saturday. Today (Monday) I called and was given a 3pm appt. After the exam, Dr. Lac said he could try to cement it back in but could not guarantee it would stay. He said this was an option and that there were other options, what did I want to do? Considering my current financial situation, I wanted to try to cement it in before doing something that would cost a lot more money. And guess what? Dr. Lac did NOT try to pressure me into other options, he did NOT tell me I was making a mistake, he did NOT make me feel like I was an idiot for taking the cheap way out. When I find a medical professional who does what is in MY best interest and listens to ME and my needs, I feel compelled to share. Dr. Lac did NOT do what was in his financial best interest by pressuring me into running up a big bill, he simply discussed the options and let me make a decision. While the "other options" may end up happening anyway at some later date, at least I now have a functioning bridge AND a big smile on my face because I know that I can trust Dr. Lac. Having said this, I know now that I have a dentist I can trust for life. He deserves my loyalty and he will have it! I should also mention that the staff is super friendly and efficient. And the office is spotless. What a pleasure (as much as going to the dentist can be considered a "pleasure"!) it is that I have the good fortune to call Dr. Lac my dental professional. Thank you Dr. Lac! :)
Before I begin to talk about what great things I have to say about the service, let's talk about how accommodating the office is. The small yet modern quaint waiting area provides water, magazines and a TV. Upon entering the actual exam room, the monitor at the foot over the exam chair functions both as a TV (remote is given to the patient) and also as a computer screen that pulls up their daily schedule as well as old records, x-rays, past visits, etc. Back home on the East Coast, the dental office I went to had a two chairs, a table, and the tools they needed.
The front desk is friendly. My hygienist Sylvia is awesome -- I was actually one of her patients during her working interview when she first started. During my last visit to the office, Dr Lac found that one of my fillings had come loose. Within a few minutes, I had a new filling. He worked quickly and efficiently, not to mention, he completed the job with ease that I didn't feel a thing!
I know people think I'm crazy but I really do love going the dentist... the smoothness of my teeth after a visit feels so rewarding!
