I had to call police after my ex tried to start a fist fight with my teen. My son looks normal, but he is special needs with mild autism, which I told the dispatcher. I was very worried about his talking to the officers since stress triggers his behavior issues. 5 cops showed up, and my son described 5 excellent people. He said they were so nice to talk with that he considered becoming a cop. One officer even made a Pokemon joke.
My ex is a blackbelt, so the situation was dangerous. I'm pursuing changes in custody, but until then, I know there's a level of protection for my son, and he will be treated with compassion by officers if a problem arises again. I do feel that their reaction put my ex in check, and he will keep his temper under control thanks to the officers. They were calm & respectful, and I know their involvement made a huge difference in protecting my son.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the police officers of the North Las Vegas Police Department period today while in a car wash by Losee and tropical I was almost a victim of a carjacking. Apparently these three thugs were on the run and North Las Vegas Police Department apprehended them shortly after they attempted to get into my vehicle. Their professionalism shows. I'm glad that North Las Vegas Police Department is tough-on-crime and does not put up with the stupidity of these criminals. This ain't hug-a-thug ladies and gentlemen. For those of you bashing police officers next time you're a victim of any type of crime go ahead and call a crackhead and see what they can do for you. NLVPD is doing a great job.
