“One of my favorite places to go. Get away from the heat in Las Vegas. There is a visitors center with interesting information about the area. We like to hike on some of the trails. Fairly easy to do. There are some more strenuous hikes too. You wouldn't be sorry you visited.”

“One of the best slot canyons in the West. Kind of hard to find. Good directions will get you here, and a high clearance vehicle can help. The canyon is long, and amazing looking. It is outside an active mine though, so know that private property restrictions could keep you out at times. Watch for rain clouds. You do not want to be caught in a flash flood in this place.”

“If you come visit the dam, this will be the only place near by to eat and grab souvenirs. The building has plenty of parking and offers some good views. This is were you will park if you decide to do one of the two tours offered. I recommend taking the dam tour. It’s $30 but well worth it.”

There is a lot of wildlife through there don't be surprised if you see a snake, bats or even a donkey or two. Would not go camping here when there's either extreme cold or extreme heat within the valley. Best in April-June or September, October.”
