(May 6, 2021, 9:36 pm)Perfect area for some easy hiking, snowshoeing, or sledding. Follow the Tahoe Rim Trail Southeast from here into the woods for the Chickadee Ridge hike. It's only about 2 miles total round trip, puts you on a ridge with beautiful views of Lake Tahoe, and might notice a few people feeding Chickadees with birdseed in their hands.

(January 10, 2021, 11:22 am)Went sledding and snowshoeing at Tahoe Meadows, still plenty of fresh snow and empty sled runs, but only if you go off the main beaten path and explore towards the ridges.
