(December 29, 2019, 1:06 pm)This is a great little park, or rather, a great place TO park. I park here so that I can commute via bicycle to work utilizing the nearby Veterans Pkwy bike path. It's a great way to start the morning without traffic and a beautiful ride through the wetland area.
As this is a park under development, I would implore the City of Reno to make it a priority to incorporate "Bicycle Commuter Parking" so that others will take advantage of the nearby designated bike path.
Also, I was totally impressed that Reno (of all places) would set aside this area as wetland habitat, but unfortunately that seems too good to be true. I saw plans this week that this area is slated for some monstrous development.
Growth can be good. Reno just doesn't understand good growth.

(June 29, 2017, 6:49 pm)Park is still incomplete, but it's pretty cool. Wish the playground was like pah rah parks in sparks, but can't complain too much. Once they are done it will be super cool to hangout at. Sad thing is there doesn't seem to be a tennis court. That would make this park even more awesome. I'm not quite sure where in this area were there are accessible tennis courts unless you pay. The parking situation isn't so bad yet, but once the rest is complete that might be am issue for such a large park. There will be a little of little league stuff for sure here and the neighborhoods will be packed. Parking is already scarce on some areas. Hope it will be fun and safe environment for the kiddos.
